Worldwide, the tribe Inuleae is represented by 38 genera and ca. 480 species; the Plucheeae with 28 genera and ca. 220 species; as well as the Gnaphalieae with 182 genera and over 2000 species. Taxonomic treatment of these tribes in Pakistan considers twelve genera and fifty species for the Inuleae, five genera and eight species for the Plucheeae, and twelve genera and 45 species for the Gnaphalieae.
