The Annals of the Missouri Botanical Garden, published quarterly since 1914, contains peer-reviewed papers primarily devoted to systematic botany and evolution. The Annals reflect the global mission of the Garden, with contributing authors from the Americas, Africa, Europe, Asia, and Australasia.
The landmark collection of nine papers in this volume reflects the current status and future promise of a range of different approaches to the study of the angiosperm fossil record, and their importance for elucidating angiosperm diversification and the orgin of modern terrestrial ecosystems. Generously illustrated.
