This exhibit at the Missouri Botanical Garden is the result of two years of non-stop work for glass artist Craig Mitchell Smith. While he has displayed his art at many public gardens throughout the United States and one two-year show at Walt Disney's Epcot theme park, Garden of Glass is by far his most ambitious.
The exhibit guide features beautiful images of Mitchell Smith's creations, as well as information about his glass-making techniques and the inspiration behind each piece. "I want people to feel a sense of wonder and awe," he says, "and I hope that my love of nature shows through."
